Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

postmatic is a Chrome extension that generates AI-powered reply suggestions for X.com. We are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, and how your information is used.

1. What We Collect

  • Email address — collected via Google OAuth for account authentication.
  • Public tweet text from X.com — sent to the Google Gemini API for AI reply generation. This text is processed in real time and is not stored permanently on our servers.
  • User preferences and settings — stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
  • Comment history — stored locally in your browser.
  • Subscription status — stored server-side to manage your plan.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

  • Browsing history outside of X.com
  • Passwords or authentication credentials
  • Direct messages or private conversations
  • Financial or payment information (handled entirely by Stripe)
  • Personal contacts or address book

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the extension:

  • Google OAuth — used for authentication. Google Privacy Policy
  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy
  • Google Gemini API — public tweet text is sent to this service to generate reply suggestions. No data is retained after processing.
  • Stripe — payment processing. We never see or store your payment details. Stripe Privacy Policy
  • Vercel — hosting and deployment infrastructure.

4. Data Storage

  • Extension settings — stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your browser.
  • Account data — your email address and subscription status are stored on secure servers powered by Supabase.
  • AI-generated replies — processed in real time and not stored on our servers. Generated replies are only kept locally in your browser if you choose to save them.
